DENSO to Exhibit at the 41st Tokyo Motor Show
Highlighting environmental developments using DENSO’s wide range of innovative technologies

KARIYA (Japan) ―DENSO Corporation will exhibit at the 41st Tokyo Motor Show in West Hall, Exhibit 304, at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, from Oct. 24 to Nov. 4. DENSO’s President and CEO Nobuaki Katoh will talk about the company’s latest developments using DENSO’s wide variety of technologies at a press briefing at the DENSO booth, on Oct. 22, at 11:10 a.m.

Energy Management
DENSO is combining various technologies and products, from a wide range of areas, to develop a comprehensive approach that will help reduce a vehicle’s environmental burden. In the main exhibit, DENSO will introduce a number of fuel-efficient technologies that are based on “Energy Management,” which is DENSO’s approach to a more efficient use of fuel energy. With “Energy Management,” DENSO is developing technologies that reduce the burden on an engine and use energy that is typically lost or wasted.

Interactive Exhibit
Next to its main exhibit, DENSO will showcase a bicycle-like demonstrator, which will allow visitors to see and feel the advantages of Energy Management. When pedaling the bike, visitors will be able to feel the stress difference when Energy Management is functioning and when it is not functioning. Simultaneously, they will be able to see the fuel consumption difference on a display screen when the technology is and is not in use.

Environment, Safety, Comfort & Convenience
DENSO will also introduce technologies and products focusing on the environment, safety, comfort, and convenience, which will be located in four different zones within its booth. In the environment zone, DENSO will showcase its permanently engaged starter, which enables faster, quieter and smoother operation of stop and start systems. The safety zone will feature the company’s sensing system technology that combines several sensor functions to detect the vehicle’s surrounding conditions. In the comfort zone, the company will display its passenger vehicle air-conditioning system employing DENSO’s ejector technology, which significantly reduces the compressor’s power consumption. And, the convenience zone will feature the company’s remote touch controller that allows a driver to control cabin equipment, such as the car navigation system, audio system, and air conditioning system.
